I grew up in Southern Oregon where I enjoyed and still enjoy outdoor activities, playing sports and spending time with my family. I am currently married to my wonderful husband Jacob and have 3 kids (Lilianna, Ava, and Ezra) and 6 dogs (Laila Boxer, Junior English Bulldog, Diesel Pitbull mix and Chevy Boerboel Mastiff, Maui  American Bully, and Bentley French Bulldog)

I have always loved animals especially dogs which lead me to pursue a career in Animal Rescue and Dog Training. I started my career by enrolling in Animal Behavior College. While enrolled with ABC I spent time as an apprentice trainer with Colleen Shanahan at Dog Gone Fun in Ashland, Oregon where I learned and practiced basic dog training skills. I also spent much of my time volunteering at local humane societies, shelters, and other professional organizations, training with shelter dogs.

Throughout my career as a professional trainer I have worked with many different types of dogs in many situations including; Petsmart Dog Trainer, Dogs for the Deaf Obedience Trainer, Previous Owner of Go Rogue Dog Training, The Animal Behavior Supervisor at SoHumane and the Owner and Trainer at Southern Oregon Pet Services. At SoHumane I played an integral part in developing safe protocol practices in safe animal handling, Staff and Volunteer training, developing sustainable foster and enrichment programs, rehabilitated and adopted out over 200 cats and dogs that would have been euthanized. I am a huge believer in fostering and have fostered/ adopted out over 150 dogs that at one point in time were homeless. In 2019 I founded my non profit organization: Koa Bully Rescue and Sanctuary where I rescue and rehabilitate unwanted pitbulls and other Bully Breeds and place them in loving homes.

My Professional Education includes over 14 years of experience and:

“I grew up with animals, so it’s no secret that I love dogs. Growing up I always knew I wanted to do something with animals but I wasn’t sure what. However, working at Koa Bully Rescue & Sanctuary and Southern Oregon Pet Services made me realize how much I enjoy helping dogs through training, particularly rescue dogs. In the future with the help of my work experience I hope to one day be a dog trainer and have my own dog “hotel”. In hopes of strengthening our wonderful dog community.”
